Coaches Code of Conduct
All team coaches will abide by a Code of Conduct which includes
the following provisions:
Section 1.
There will be no smoking on the field at games or practice.
Section 2.
Do not criticize players in front of spectators, but reserve constructive
criticism for private or in the presence of the team members, if
they might benefit.
Section 3.
Accept decisions of the game official on the field as being fair
and called to the best of the ability of said official.
Section 4.
Don't criticize opposing coaches, players, or fans by gestures or
comments.
Section 5.
Emphasize that winning is the result of hard play and team work.
Section 6.
Coaches are game officials are jointly responsible for the conduct
of the team, fans, and spectators. Any fan who becomes a nuisance
should be asked to leave
Section 7.
Refrain from running up the score. A team that gets a commanding
lead should make every effort to play all of the players on the
bench.
Section 8.
Refrain from using profanity and abusive language.
Section 9.
Do not permit ineligible players to participate in practice or games.
Section 10.
Do not deliberately incite unsportsmanlike conduct.
Section 11.
Abstain from drinking alcoholic beverages on field, at games, or
at practices. Do not come to games or practices under the influence
of alcoholic beverages or mind altering drugs.
Section 12.
Remove any player from a game or practice whenever the slightest
doubt exists that the player's health is in danger until he can
be examined or competent medical advice is available.
Section 13.
Control your fans. Remember, you are responsible for your team and
fan reaction, which will usually be in step with your conduct as
the coach.
Section 14.
Uphold all rules and regulations and amendments to these sections
of the Three Rivers Youth Football League.
